๐ โ 1. EmuVR Installed and Updated You need the latest version of EmuVR installed. UGC support is built-in, but some features (like custom systems) may require newer builds or beta versions available via the EmuVR Discord.
๐น โ 2. Windows PC EmuVR currently runs on Windows only. UGC may use Windows paths or file formats like .fbx, .png, or .json.
๐ง โ 3. VR or Desktop Mode You can use UGC in both VR and non-VR (desktop) modes. A VR headset is not required to load or place UGC content.
๐ง โ 5. Required File Types Some UGC props include: .fbx 3D model .json Configuration file (e.g., system settings, media support) .png or .jpg Texture maps, labels, box art Optional: custom icons, sound effects, or shaders.
๐ง โ 6. PC Hardware Capable of Handling High Poly Models Some UGC (especially cabinets, Virtual Boy, Steam Deck) can have very high polygon counts (100k 500k+). Recommended system specs: Quad-core CPU or better 8 GB RAM minimum Modern GPU (NVIDIA GTX 1060 / AMD RX 580 or better) SSD recommended for faster asset loading.
๐พ โ 7. EmuVR Room Configured Make sure your EmuVR room is set up with enough space or custom layout to place larger UGC props like arcade cabinets or shelf displays.

๐ฆ How to Install UGC for EmuVR
๐ช Step-by-Step Instructions:
Download the UGC Files
UGC is usually shared as a .zip or .rar archive.
1. Download the pack from trusted sources (Discord, Nexus Mods, etc.).
2. Be sure to extract the files using a tool like WinRAR, 7-Zip, or Windows Explorer.
3. Copy downloaded UGC to your UGC folder by navigating to your EmuVR installation directory and finding the UGC folder: EmuVR\Custom\UGC\
(Optional) Organize Media
For box art, labels, discs, and other media, place them in their appropriate media folders under:
EmuVR\Games\YourSystemName\
Make sure file names match your game files if you want the media to auto-link.
4. Launch EmuVR.
In your room, go to the in-game Settings > UGC Menu to place your new content.
